A Design for Honedge

Within the Nuzlocke I was playing for Pokemon X, I was fortunate enough to have a female Honedge as a first encounter. From that instant, ideas for her design had been on my mind for a long while, so I drew them out and I must admit that she is one of the best characters I have done so far.

Meet Meilin.

Meilin the Honedge

Her name is from a random book I had lying around my room. That is how I've been naming all of my team. By picking up a random book and flipping to a random page and choosing the first gender correct name I come across.

On another point, never underestimate this woman. She's still a warrior at heart. Jason and his team won't know what hit them!

The Heads of Kalos

Who better to be in charge of the Kalos University then the beings of Life, Order and Death?

Professor Xanders, Headmistress Zieger, and Professor Yelton

To help Jason and his friends along their journey to master their born Pokemon abilities, we have the Legendary Pokemon types as the teachers. Professor Xanders (Xerneas) is Life and may step in at some point to aid Jason along. Headmistress Zieger (Zygarde) will bring Order to her school. Professor Yelton (Yveltal) is a representative of Death and a little on the cranky side of things with the misunderstandings he gets. Regardless, let's just say Jason and his crew prefer to stay away from him.

I had a little fun choosing last names for them that are close to their Pokemon names. Since they are teachers, they would naturally be called by their last names out of respect as opposed to their first names.

All three will definitely be making appearances within the story and some of the previous legendaries from previous generations may show up as well. We will have to wait and see how many more Gen 6 legendaries are added to the Pokedex as well.

Now to Add Some Rivals/Friends

Yesterday we met Jason and his evolutionary forms as he would go from Froakie to Frogadier to Greninja, now I give you the other four who will be helping/competing against him to hone their born Pokemon abilities and be the best they can be.

Calem, Shauna, Tierno and Trevor as the Pokemon they own

Since Jason was my first Pokemon, naturally, Calem is a Chespin and Shauna is a Fennekin. In the games, Tierno only starts out with a Corphish. Trevor will also have a Flabébé companion who will help him on his journey. These four will also be gathering a team for themselves as well. There may be some losses among their number and I fully intend to delve into a lot of character development.

I love how they turned out. Calem and Shannon in particular. The team is starting to come together :D Stay tuned for some more character designs to show up over the week.

Introducing Jason

Jason as Froakie, Frogadier and Greninja.

To begin with our Kalos journey, we choose a starter and give him a name.

Say hello to Jason, the Froakie.

I was playing around a little and decided to draw his whole evolutionary line going from Froakie to Frogadier and Greninja.

I had a lot of fun drawing these and plan to draw way more in preparation for the comic I intend to write for Jason. I'll be following him around Pokemon X as he gathers friends for his team and faces off against his rivals to be the best in his class.

The only question we have to ask is if he will be able to pull this off and remain alive? ... For his kind, using their powers can get very dangerous. The Professors aim to do everything they can to prevent deaths, but it can happen.
